What to tell families when referring
"Happy Talkers is an integrated therapy clinic in the Tri-Valley that's been here since 2001. They provide speech, occupational, and behavioral therapy, as well as developmental evaluations, and they accept most major commercial insurance including Kaiser. I'm sending a referral — they'll contact you within a day to get started."
We accept referrals from all medical providers — a formal clinical summary is helpful but not required to initiate. We will follow up with you (with family consent) after intake evaluation is complete.
When a child needs clinical services beyond what school can provide — or when evaluation, early intervention, or transition planning points toward outside therapy — Happy Talkers is the coordinated next step.

What to tell families when referring
"Happy Talkers is a clinical therapy program in the Tri-Valley that works alongside school services — they're not a replacement for what we do here, they're an addition to it. They provide speech, OT, and behavioral therapy, they accept most major commercial insurance and work with Regional Center, and they'll communicate with our team here if you give consent. They've been in the community since 2001."
